Engineering Depth

Led engineering teams delivering complex systems software at Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia, including Data Center router switching fabric software, one of the company's top revenue drivers. I knew what to build and built it well, but not yet why: what customer problem it solved, what tradeoff it represented. That gap pulled me toward a role working directly with customers.

Customer Outcomes, Product Signals

As Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, and Product Ambassador across Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, Oracle Cloud, and AWS, I sat on the front line with customers and the market, feeding that signal into roadmaps I didn't own. I wrote PRDs, ran PM Interlock, and influenced roadmap. Real influence, one seat removed from the decision.

Building with AI

Still doing customer to product work: reading the market, sitting with customers, feeding product decisions. What's changed is that AI tools now let me close the loop myself, building the solution directly instead of just recommending it. The Observability Maturity Framework is a working prototype, built from start to finish with AI (Claude), and it's moving toward adoption.

Closing the Gap

Fifteen years of engineering judgment, twelve years of market and customer signal, and now the ability to build the thing myself. That's backed by a Kellogg Professional Certificate in Product Management and hands on development with AI. I'm ready to own the roadmap directly, not just influence it. My formal PM experience is still forming, and that's a gap I'm actively closing, not a finished story.
